Jcink Uploaded an Avatar and It Took Away My Template

Hello,

Apologies if this is a indistinguishable. I searched the forum and could not observe a like outcome. I take consulted the other members of the site that I am on and this upshot appears to be limited to me thus far. I'm uncertain if this is a bug or only an issue on my end.

I'm a member of http://devourthegods.jcink.internet/index.php?act=idx and I am having an outcome with how the profiles avatars are loading when I enter a thread. I have attached screenshots and as you tin can see, only one appears and it is at the correct hand corner. Information technology is specifically the avatar of the most contempo poster and every bit I scroll downwardly the page information technology disappears.

I take checked my settings, logged into another account and checked my enshroud and cookies to no avail. If you have whatever recommendations on how to fix this, I would profoundly appreciate it.

I feel the exact same trouble. Easily reproducible in both browsers Chrome and FF for me. It is not a bug on your end or with the service, information technology is a bug in their skin and our resolutions, virtually likely.

Are you only a member of the site?

Howdy John,

Cheers and then much for your quick reply. I really capeesh information technology. I am just a fellow member just I take made the staff enlightened and someone is monitoring this thread because they are now having this issue every bit well. They're looking into fixing it.

Hello at that place! I'g an admin on the site in question. I've been told that the issues lies with the states using CFS script instead of HTML post templates.

I followed this guide, merely it didn't piece of work:
https://jcink.com/main/wiki/jfh-converting-...-html-templates

I think information technology failed because the guide assumes we have our miniprofile stored in Profile Templates and nada in Mini Profile nether HTML Templates, which is non the case.

Hither are our Profile Template settings.

Here is our HTML Template Mini Contour.

Should annihilation about these things changed before I try the conversion guide again?

I am non totally sure that CFS was the issue (I did not know you were using CFS). It's good to convert away from it. In that location is nothing wrong with the current conversion guide. It looks like you already are using mini contour templates via html templates -- which is good. You can skip that function of the procedure.

All the same, currently, it says you are using CFS for post row templates. This could absolutely be posing a problem for you. Please endeavor to convert that commencement then we'll take a await at this, it'll exist easier to piece of work with without having to worry about CFS being in the fashion.

Following the conversion guide creates a jumbled mess of miniprofiles stacked on pinnacle of each other. Maybe at that place is something about the CustomPost script HTML that makes it intermission once information technology's put in the Mail Template? Here's the script:

CODE

<script>
customPosts.initialize({
config: {
quickEdit: 'true',
permaLinkDefault: 'Permalink'
},
html: '<div class="cpoststop"><div style="position: absolute; left: 0px; width: 100px; background-color: #111111; height: 80px;"></div><div style="width: 1px; height: 54px; background-color: #936F96; position: accented; top: 12px; left: 95px; -ms-transform: rotate(25deg); -webkit-transform: rotate(25deg); transform: rotate(25deg); display: none;"></div> <div class="buttons">{{postButtonsTop}} {{postCheckbox}} <div style="width: 275px; pinnacle: 1px; groundwork-color: #5E7784; display: inline-block; margin-left: 20px; position: relative; height: -5px;"></div></div></div><div grade="cposts"><div style="width: 225px; vertical-align: top; position: absolute; top: 0px; right: 0px;">{{postMiniprofile}}</div><div grade="posts"><div form="topinfo"><div form="appointment">{{postDate}}</div><div class="perma">{{permaLink}}&nbsp; /&nbsp;</div></div><br><br>{{postContent}}<br><br><div grade="ip"><a href="http://devourthegods.jcink.net/index.php?act=modcp&Lawmaking=ip&incoming={{postIp}}">{{postIp}}</a></div></div></div>'
});

</script>

Your template looks especially hard to convert for some reason, unfortunately. It doesn't help that it'southward cleaved as-is; then we're working with a tough template here. Are you able to make a skin fix with all of the aforementioned elements except the templates, and create a examination account? This mode we tin work on a copy of the skin without making the current one worse.

At that place shouldn't be a jumbled stack of mini profiles on superlative of each other in any example. Does {{postMiniprofile}} resolve to the mini profile variable on our system? do you encounter only 1 variable or 2 when you expect at it under the Postal service Row template.

I tried creating a new, testing pare set with nothing in HTML Templates. Following the conversion guide, nothing happened to the miniprofile/post section of the peel. It reverted to the Jcink default skin.

This is what the code looks like after I paste information technology into Post Row:

Lawmaking

<!-- The markup generated by Custom Structure begins here. -->
<div id="new-posts">
<div id="entry#<!-- |pid| -->" class="new-mail grouping<!-- |g_id| -->-mail service-normal">
<div form="cpoststop"><div style="position: absolute; left: 0px; width: 100px; background-color: #111111; pinnacle: 80px;"></div><div style="width: 1px; acme: 54px; groundwork-color: #936F96; position: absolute; top: 12px; left: 95px; -ms-transform: rotate(25deg); -webkit-transform: rotate(25deg); transform: rotate(25deg); display: none;"></div> <div class="buttons"><!-- |report_link| --><!-- |delete_button| --><!-- |edit_button| --><!-- |quote_button| --> <!-- |mod_checkbox| --> <div style="width: 275px; height: 1px; background-colour: #5E7784; brandish: inline-block; margin-left: 20px; position: relative; height: -5px;"></div></div></div><div class="cposts"><div style="width: 225px; vertical-align: top; position: absolute; top: 0px; right: 0px;"><!-- |mini_profile| --></div><div class="posts"><div form="topinfo"><div class="date"><!-- |post_date| --></div><div form="perma"><!-- |permalink| -->&nbsp; /&nbsp;</div></div><br><br><div id="pid_<!-- |pid| -->">
<!-- THE Mail <!-- |pid| --> --><div course='postcolor'><!-- |post| --></div><!-- |signature| --><!-- THE Mail -->
</div><br><br><div class="ip"><a href="http://devourthegods.jcink.net/alphabetize.php?human activity=modcp&Lawmaking=ip&incoming=<!-- |ip_address| -->"><!-- |ip_address| --></a></div></div></div>
</div>
</div>
<!-- The markup generated by Custom Structure ends here. -->

I don't see mini_profile beingness duplicated, and so that'south good. I really demand to see it live on an account though to work with it and the postal service row has to get converted. Normally nosotros don't request this, just would you exist willing to provide an admin account? I demand to run across what happens when the post rows are converted.

No problem, I PMed you the credentials.

I have a question -- is anybody having these issues at this time? Or is it just myself and OP? I've managed to prepare the post row template past simply removing the mini profile variable and adjusting the permalink, merely of course wih no variable for mini profile = zip shows upward. If the MPs are not working for anyone anyhow right now I will go ahead and just put in the mail rows as-is to make it easier to work with. I started playing with the mini profile template though and this is definitely a tough CSS consequence of some type. Can you retrieve if whatever changes were made recently to the template that might be relevant?

Me, OP and i other member have all noticed this happening, but non all the time. For example, I simply see the out-of-place miniprofile if I refresh a folio with a miniprofile in Microsoft Edge. The miniprofile looks correct if I'm in Chrome, refreshing or not.

To my agreement, OP is using Chrome. OP start noticed the issue yesterday, but we oasis't fabricated any changes to the skin lately and we've been using this skin since Dec.

I am using Chrome and Firefox on two dissimilar devices. The problem is the aforementioned on both browsers, both devices. That's why I was wondering. I accept no idea how it is working for you. Very strange. At that place is besides the take chances and so that if it's "fixed", information technology will break for you and others. Must be another component here.

howdy john, i'm the 1 who coded this skin. the issue was that black's script no longer appears to be working properly. i tin't remember why, but for some reason, i didn't convert our custom posts to the html templates when i updated the residuum of the skin.

i just did so at present, and i did have the nested mini-profile problem, but information technology was hands remedied — there was a missing </div>. in one case i added that, it stock-still the problem. as far as i can tell, everything looks fine & works fine now!!

Ah cheers for the info.

It appears that the script is now offline:

http://world wide web.elegantexpressions.usa/black/cs.min.js

We take multiple versions saved for those who demand it.

https://files.jcink.cyberspace/html/cfs.min.js
https://files.jcink.cyberspace/html/cfs.min_2014.js
https://files.jcink.net/html/cfs.min_2015.js

Not the first time EE has gone offline either; for a period of fourth dimension we were replacing their CDN link with our own because of instability. That is withal in effect at present; not sure why information technology wasn't swapped though.

I am glad though you lot helped them get migrated to html templates. Thanks then much.
